History

Bay Area Korean Baseball League (BAKBA) is the premier amateur baseball league for adults 18 years of age and older. Founded in 2011, it is the fastest-growing adult baseball organization in the Bay Area. The league has 5 teams and 110 members who play organized amateur baseball in local leagues, soon to participate in regional tournaments and national tournaments as well. BAKBA plans to expand by establishing local affiliates in communities where programs do not exist, and also by welcoming existing amateur hardball leagues to affiliate. The BAKBA is poised to reach 200 members in the very near future. If you are a BAKBA member,r you are part of something great! Play Hardball! Don’t settle for anything less!

Headquartered in the SF Bay Area, CA, BAKBA teams span most metropolitan cities in the heart of Silicon Valley. BAKBA has two university/college affiliated teams; United Fungoz, originated and formed by UC Berkeley students from Berkeley, CA, and Stanford Cardinals, formed by a group of professors, post-doctoral candidates, and researchers from Stanford University in Stanford, CA. BAKBA also has a team, Symphony Sluggers, backed by an IT company, Symphony Commerce. BAKBA plans to expand into more school organizations as well as the IT companies here in the SF Bay Area.
